We had mixed weather - some fab, some not so fab! We walked up Goatfell on winter solstace, 'stuff' spotting (including otters, eagles, seals and red squirrels), we walked Laggans, the Cock of Arran and Glen Sannox. We retraced James Huttons discoveries at the Hutton Unconformity. We saw magical sunsets. We tried and tested granite>schist>limestone for grippicity! A beautiful, comfortable cottage with everything we needed for a restful week. We will definitely recommend to our friends - thank you!

We went to Machrie Moor Standing Stones, Kings Cave, Lochranza Castle, Viking ship at Corrie, Kildonan to see the seals, Glenashdale Falls, Giants Graves, Fallen Rock and a boat trip with Ocean Breeze. We saw the red squirrels (in the garden), red deer, seals, so many birds. Arran is probably the most beautiful place we have visited. We loved watching the sunset from the beach with the family and feeling so at home in the cottage. Pirnmill shop has nuts and bird seed so you can keep the squirrels visiting. We will be back!

We have had a fantastic week relaxing in your wonderful cottage. It is our first time on Arran - little did we expect a heatwave! We have been right round the island, enjoying the views and the wildlife. Highlights include: Golden eagle, hen harrier and red deer at Lochranza, bats seen from the cottage window, eider duck, red throated divers, and one evening, an otter close to the shore, further out we saw seals and porpoises. Thanks for the welcome, we would love to come back. PS Nearly forgot the red squirrels and birds on the feeders in the garden

This was a return visit to Arran after a gap of 31 years! It won't be so long until the next one, and such a lovely place to stay. The cottage was everything and more than we had imagined, and having the beach to ourselves made it seem like ours too. There wasn't a day when we didn't see a ferry (such an added extra for a calmac follower!) and the wildlife was amazing, only otters excluded us. The Stag Pavillion gave us a memorable last evening. We hope to visit here again. Thank you so much for the welcome tray/wine xx
